Which URL gets the PR/SERP's after a 301 Redirect?

For my website www.unlockinc.com I added a blog recently but the URL for the blog automatically is made to unlockinc.com/category/blog I wrote a 301 redirect in the htaccess file to forward the previous URL to unlockinc.com/blog. However, I want to know whether I should advertise my blog with the category/blog URL or the blog URL?

Which is better? When I say advertise I don't mean telling people I mean making hyperlinks/sig links etc. Also, if anyone knows how to change the URL to begin with to be unlockinc.com/blog on wordpress, please let me know, thanks.

the redirection target url will get the final rank. about how to edit the website url, I would suggest you export your mysql and use find/replace to make the change then import back to your database.

Redirection is best way for it, but if you want to change the url so you go to your database and make changes there.

So you guys are saying the unlockinc.com/blog URL will get the link juice?

Also, I tried looking through phpmyadmin but I could not find a table to edit the URL..

The URL to which the redirect points to will eventually end up having its place in the Search Engines Results. Once a SE repeatedly goes to another page via redirect then that page will eventually show up.
