One thing I don't like Gary is that he is giving Adsense tips but he said it is ok to put Adsense on a new blog - http://www.garryconn.com/should-you-use-google-adsense-right-away-on-a-new-site.php and I strongly disagree with him. For me, it's useless to put Adsense on a new blog. A new blog will have only a few visitors (social ones), and one will need around 667 pageviews to make a $1. Besides, it can be a good reason why a new account will be banned. Why? The real ad clickers are the ones coming from search engines, not from social sites. Visitors from social sites do not click ads, and if they do, they don't buy...When someone is looking for something to buy online, he will search it on Google and never on blogs. Therefore, if Google Adsense sees that most of your ad clicks are coming from social sites, then they may suspect that you are inviting your friends to click them even if you are not. Unfortunately, I think Gary Conn does not realize it. On the other hand, Grizzly (who has a ugly blogspot blog on top of Google with keywords make money online and making money online) agrees with me. Besides, his posts are more realistic and natural. Here is his blog - http://makemoneyforbeginners.blogspot.com/
What i would like to say is that everybody have their personal likings, i find Garry's advise very useful as well as easy to implement.... There are many blogging gurus that are teaching the same thing in many different ways. Moreover after the tightening of the Adsense rules, you can only wait to make the bucks you wish. As of now Affiliate marketing is where the money lies and you got to make best use of this opportunity.. I saw Grizzy, its another of the good blogs that can used to learn a few things..
Please don't get me wrong, as I respect your admiration for Garry Conn. In fact, his theme looks far better good looking than Grizzly's blogspot blog. However, it's the theory that Gary is saying about putting Adsense on a new blog that seems to be misleading to me. Sad to say, he cannot even justify his side well enough while Grizzly's point is far more than just a theory. As a matter of fact, it's closer to reality. Speaking of new Adsense rules, it looks unfair to noobs but not really. For me, it's just fine not to approve new blogs for Adsense. As I have mentioned earlier, a blog must have sufficient search engine traffic before it can attract real ad clickers (or potential buyers). And this is what Grizzly is always saying. As of this moment, Gary have not yet replied to my comment on his blog contradicting his belief about putting Adsense on a new blog. Maybe, he's still thinking how he can prove me wrong. Or maybe, he is reading Grizzly's post about this...
learn about Copywriting for the WEB and then using SEO principles to optimise for Mr G these are the biggest errors most new bloggers make..
I expect bloggers to follow me cause I'm pretty high up in my niche. But for entertainment, I read ConcreteLoop.com
I main follow other writer bloggers but I am not sure if they are considered top bloggers. I do enjoy problogger.net, copyblogger.com and chrisbrogan.com
I read Steve Pavlina, Aaron Wall, Guy Kawasaki, Seth Godin and many not so popular bloggers. There is something to learn by everyone but at the end when it comes to doing, it all depend on yourself only.
I follow blogger blogs that are part of the same niche as mine. Gaming blogs and more specifically those based on the xbox 360. I find it is a great way to get your "face" (avatar) around which also brings in some good traffic. I'm also doing quite well for followers myself (14, natural followers - no requests) considering my blog has only been going for less than a month.
Still follow Problogger as there is often useful stuff on there. Carl has been 13 for a very long time now!
Hey i am sure the names that you have put down here are real good bloggers and we can really learn some good stuff from them but it would be nice if you put their respective blog (url's) names that you read.
Sorry, I expected Google to help http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/ - Steve Pavlina, personal development http://www.seobook.com/blog - Aaron Wall, SEO, and the best one IMHO http://blog.guykawasaki.com/ - Guy Kawasaki http://sethgodin.typepad.com - and Seth Godin
I can't wait to check them out.. Will tell you about what i felt from reading these blogs Thanks Prasun
