Welcome,
In my site I have a page about topic that can be called 'phrase1', 'phrase2' and 'phrase3'. Google shows that 'phrase1' has 4 million search results, 'phrase2' 80 million SR and 'phrase3' 10 million SR. Google adwords shows that 40 thousand people a month search for 'phrase1', 400 thousand search for 'phrase2' and 150 thousand for 'phrase3'. Which title should I choose? Least competition is in phrase1, biggest traffic in phrase2 and best traffic / competition - phrase3.

use all three phrases... Just don't go over the 70 characters allowed by Google!

Well, calling a page 'phrase1, phrase2 and phrase3' will sound really silly.

That would sound silly if you kept the words phrase1, etc.
I assume you will replace it with your real phrase.

If the keyphrase makes sense as a title and that's what that page
is, go for it.

Here is what google's says:
Make a title relevant for visitors, not search engines.

are you sure will use that phrase to your site?? it's a huge competition phrase I think..
but if you 'have to" I think better to use phrase 2, its the lowest competition.......

stephen c: of course I will make title relevant for visitors, but it just so happens that this page can have more than one title that describes it perfectly. I'm a total newbie with SEO and was hoping that someone can shed some light.

Hi,

i believe that you need to create three phrases combination title for your website which present you multiple ranking benefits, but make sure your title must be search engine friendly and also according to search engine algorithm.

If possible, just create 3 unique pages that are dedicated to each one of your phrases. Then interlink between them and you should have the greatest benefit :)
