Hi. We all know that google is the most amazing search engine ever. And it gives the search results very much faster than any other search engines. So, which technology is used by google? And how google manages all these things? Please tell me. Thank you.

    My dear friend,
there is whole lot to understand.
and i bet this forum topic is not enough to understand whole google technology
Also it took them almost 10 years to become a leader in search industry.
so there technology is not a 1 day technology.

Of course no one knows exactly how it works or how there infrastructure is set up.... if people knew there's be a million copycat Google sites on the net all trynig to cash in.

A business like Google is always going to have trade secrets, which no one will ever know the full extent of.

PageRank forms part of their proprietary search engine software technology.

Technology in the sense encompasses a lot more than their software but extends to the hardware they use to implement it, and how.

I was told by my friend who works for Mozilla that Google's technology is based on using set binaries.

    For instance:

The first 13 letters are set to 1 and the other 13 are set to 0.

From the first 13, the first 6 are set to 1 and the last 7 are set to 0

From the first 6, the first 3 are set to 1 and the last 3 are set to 0, and so on.

So the letter A would not have to be checked against 25 other letters, but instead would be translated to read as 00000, B would be 00001, etc.

He didn't go in depth, but thats what he told me.
