Again, Samsung has been behind some of the best SSDs that have been hitting the streets for years, and even though other manufacturers like Western Digital and Adata are trying their best to give it a run for its money, the Samsung 970 Evo is still the best SSD you can buy if you're after raw speed.
I am currently using Samsung 860 EVO 250 GB for my Macbook Pro and it is working great. Consider its price it would certainly be a very good option. When you consider Western Digital, it is one of the most reliable names in terms of producing hard drives so when you buy any WD drive, you are pretty much certain of having a quality product. So in my view, both these options are pretty good and you choose either one. If you are looking to find more options, you should take a look at this article which has some great information about some of the best SSD options for a Macbook.
With western digital I only have bad experiences, hdd burned after a month of buying, I didn't try ssd from them but instead the first ssd I bought was kingstone, I still have it, at the moment I have ssd from samsung, they are the best.
I think western digital 240G green is a good SSD. It performs better in terms of power efficiency and is lighter.
I don't know how good the crucial ssd are but in my country the crucial ssd are the cheapest and the samsung ssd are the most expensive.
