Hello all, I am interested in putting a blog on my site. I am looking for something that I can host myself, and plug in to a portion of my site.

Any suggestions would be great. Thanks for in advance.

If your web server has PHP and MySQL, WordPress will be the best choice. Higly customizable, very powerful, easy to install. And the most popular - lots of information available.

I recommend Wordpress too, regarding adding it to your site, you can just link to the blog in a subfolder or if you know how you want to intergrate the blog into your existing site you should be able to get the code off someone to do that if you tell them what you need.

I believe my websites are hosted on an ASP platform. All the page extensions are .aspx?

    Would wordpress still work?

Providing your server has php and MySQL access, yes. Although as you appear to be on a Windows server that may not be the case.

Would it seem as though I need an ASP based solution?

    Any suggestions?

If your host supports PHP and MySQL, you can use wordpress regardless of whether ASP too is present or not on your server.
