Twitter has been excellent - add bitly to it and you can track the amount of clicks your shortened links have
I use Twitter for fun these days. Facebook for personal communication. Justin.tv for serious marketing and major cash. Regarding those URL shorteners, I use Bud.url, and something is hokey with those stats. Immediately I get a dozen from some unknown source....the same every time. Not reliable stats, for sure. LOL
I like facebook and youtube the best. The things that I like about facebook - the ability to upload pictures and videos. Since I make my own promotion videos, that works out really well.
Nestr.com is like brightkite/loopt but it is not about where you are now, it is about where things have been or will be. It is anonymous but can hook into twitter and SMS. There is no need to use addresses to identify and share a location. Just move the map marker around and then broadcast to Twitter. There is some power to this system. I like it. http://nestr.com
Facebook works far better than any other! because Facebook is widely used by internet users & it have very much well defined theme to do with
I prefer to use Twitter to update both my Facebook and Myspace accounts, but to be honest I get the most traffic from Twitter and the most friends from Facebook. Myspace is on a back burner for me, I used it for a long time successfully until they put the link blocker in now its much less useful. Paul
Twitter and Facebook are probably my top two favorite. Twitter is probably the overall hottest right now because it's the newest. Myspace is old news and orkut/hi5..etc just never really got popular around America. So it's gotta be Facebook and Twitter for me
I'm going to say Facebook and Twitter these days. I started marketing back in the day when MySpace was all the rage. Now, it's a dying site, you can really tell. I'm going to post what I posted a minute or two ago in a separate thread to explain why I love these two sites: Facebook is the new number two most-visited site on the Internet, according to Alexa rankings. Although Alexa has been known not to be the most accurate source in the world, it's hard to screw up number two. However, if you are looking for traffic via Facebook profile, the problem comes into play when you note that there is a friend limit of 5,000 at the moment. Of course, joining groups and posting links there has a tendency to cancel out any problems that friend limits can cause. Twitter, however, does not have a limit to the number of followers that you may have. There are accounts on Twitter with well over one million followers. These accounts are growing and growing and have yet to hit a block. The only problem with this is that updates are limited to 160 characters, and there isn't much to put in that space. However, improvisation is key to succeeding in Twitter. These two networks are what I consider to be the highest-traversed on the Internet. Connect the two to see massive spikes in your own traffic. I hope that helped, let me know if it did. This is my first post, so I'm a bit nervous about the response. 18thSense
