any of them. as I noticed it depends on the site that's trending in your country. For example, where I'm living, G+ is a desert and we have only about 1k - 2k active twitter users. So - we stitch with facebook here.
I totally agree as each of the social media website works in a different manner. So select the one which suits your needs.
It would depend on what you're trying to accomplish. FB and TW are great for building relationships and of course a following. LinkedIn is good driving targeted traffic and also generating leads. But I have to agree with previous comments as far as Google+ because it's like an all in one network. Personally I believe Google+, and Twitter are your sure winners... Facebook is starting to slowly fade away but use of fan pages, groups, and ads can still be beneficial.
Thanks for that list! Been looking for more social sites to add; however, meetup.com is for physical social meetings yes?
I think they all good. It comes down which of those sites work better for you and which one you feel more comfortable working with.
Totally depends on the niche. For most people in the webmaster niche it seams that Twitter is better.
Facebook is best social media optimization website till date. It's a most effective and prominent website to promote websites, products and services effectively. It offers groups, pages and friends to share phots, texts, videos and much more.
I personally (and currently) use these: Facebook, twitter, Google +, Tumblr, Pinterest, Linkedin and Youtube (yes, Youtube is still a social media site...??, it seems to have been forgotten). It's not so much which one is better, you'll get traffic from all of them, BUT it's about knowing the specific purpose of each of them within your business. let me illustrate... I use Tumblr and Pinterest to generate traffic to my personal Blog. The main purpose in my Blog (other than offering content) is to get that traffic to opt in my mailing list. Then FB and Twiitter will be used to develop relationships. My aim on everything I do is to provide VALUE, that's it. It all works like in circle so when I put a video or new blog post, they appear automatically in my FB and twitter accounts. It's all synchronized as 1 lead generation machine To YOUR Success Alvaro
For me, Facebook and YouTube are the two most effective social media sites around now. Facebook because it has an insane amount of users and some great marketing tools such as pages and groups and so on. And YouTube because of the sheer amount of people listening to music and watching videos on there, and the amount of publishers willing to pay people to create good YouTube videos.
I would use the Social Media websites that you like. I wouldn't just use one. Because some people only create only one Social Media account for one Social Media website. And also every Social Media website is so different. Because people act different on different websites.
Some local social networking sites are very popular in the particular location, while Facebook is popular globally.. however, on Facebook, there are lots of stuffs apart from friendship, if I talk about business point then Facebook is really a great thing.
Nope, facebook is not actually global popular. In the eastern part of Europe and Russia (a damn big audience) people give preferences so such social networks as Odnoklassniki.ru and, the russian 'facebook' - Vkontakte.com. Both of them are awful but they are very popular though and facebook hasn't any authority there
I think Linkedin is best for Business Profile, Reddit for getting Traffic, Facebook for selling stuff and e commerce/business promoting,
Me personally get the best results from Twitter. The reason for that is probably in site design. It's so much easier for people to visit your site then on other social media sites. It's interesting that Pinterest has similar structure and there are many stats showing that Pinterest is leading source of referral traffic to different sites. When it comes to social media it's essential to connect with people, engage and build trust. Everything starts from there. This can be applied on all popular social networks.
