Agree with the above, think Youtube is a great way to get people interacting, would say don't put all you eggs in the one basket, you may be surprised from a source of traffic you might not otherwise of considered either way good luck in your endeavours

Tattoo business is the ordinary business model actually, I don't really think it requires specific methods of promoting online. At least, I have never faced any niche/business model which required specific methods... Perhaps, all ahead, but anyway, you can promote your services via classical social media like FB or twitter. Adjust the advertisement on other websites with correlated topic, for example, on the articles where various tattoo designs are described.

Contacting the owner of the website in order to offer an advertisement placement is the most difficult task. Be ready to devote a solid amount of time to this process, or you will be lucky and everything will be fast =)
