Which Sitemap is better HTML OR XML ?

Both the HTML ans XML sitemap have there own importance.

Html site map guiding peoples and XML sitemap is used by crawler.

 

XML sitemap will be more beneficial.............

 

Both sitemap are good for a website but the purpose is different Xml sitemap we mainly create for search engines to get all pages indexed fast and Html sitemap we create for user that the user can find all pages easily.

 

How can i add my web sitemap in yahoo?

 

xml..for crawler and html for human. but FYI, sitemap can be generated in txt.

 

For your wordpress blog, get best XML sitemap plugin which support multisite functions too. It generates google sitemapindex, submit it to webmaster tool and for audience in your site, you can personalize. Either you can display only pages of your site , posts or categories. So there is no point in wasting time for HTML sitemaps.

 

I think, the best sitemap is in .txt format. It's small, fast, and easy to be generated.

Supposed you can have both. XML is for submitting to search engine, and search engine use that to tell what pages are on your website. HTML is for human, when visitor comes, they can see HTML sitemap and knows all the pages that you have on your site, and get to any page just by a single click in the sitemap (or a few clicks, if you have multi-tier sitemap)

 

Hi, basically in seo field two sitemap are used xml and html, in which xml sitemap used to search engine and other one html are human.

Both are the best, but it only depend that who you are. Crawler point of view XML and HTML site maps are good. But general user point of view Only HTML site-map is best.
