I'm about to start a couple of PPC campaigns to drive traffic to two of my company's opt-in pages: one is directed at aspiring authors who want to finish writing a book; the other is directed at published authors who want to sell their books. Within each of these email campaigns, there is plenty of complimentary value content specific to these groups. There are also links to e-commerce sites where they can buy non-fiction "self-help" books related to their topic matter included in every third or fourth email. Which site(s) would you recommend for these two PPC campaigns: Google, Facebook, or LinkedIn? Why do you recommend it? What has been your personal experience with this? I'm hoping to hear from some experienced Internet marketers on this one. Thank you in advance for your guidance and help.
I would highly recommend Google Adwords. I've used them since 2007 and most of the time achieve my goals. I've used Facebook, but seem to get heaps of views, but not conversions or opt-ins. So it makes me wonder. Within LinkedIn, I've never personally used them but I've heard good things about them. So having said that, since there self-help books, I would recommend Google.
I have tried dozens of PPC networks -and I have been around since 1997 - most of them are crap and have crap traffic. Currently the only networks I can count on delivering quality clicks are Taboola , Outbrain , and GA . Unfortunately- there is no substitute for google search ppc . They are expensive and nasty but they are the only network that you will ever be able to build a serious business with.
Oh and regarding Facebook ads - I wait for the day that those con artists will get the biggest law suite in business history . FB ads are a one big joke - don`t spend a dime there if you want to sell - only if you want impressions. Linkedin ads are not something to write home about - you better spend time networking there - you`ll get far better results .
I've heard Google adwords is best. But I've also heard that Facebook PPC can work really well for authors and email marketers. The more I read the comments, though, I'm thinking Google adwords is the way to go.
I would like to suggest Facebook for running PPC Campaign, as it helps to get more clicks from viewers which brings them to your website easily & makes aware about your business.
