I want to buy a new domain and have two choices for the one I want |keyword|tutorials.org (where |kleyword| is the keyword I want) or keywordtutorialweb.com I think I prefer the first but the .org is stopping me from grabbing it. The .net and the ,.com are being squatted at the moment as well so the competition is not too bad for that domain
I know tutorial sites aren't that good as earners but I have written quite a few for a number of niche products that I use out of general interest I dont want to clog my site with them so instead want to create a new one for them
There is one more I was thinking of buying Keywordguides.com so say the keyword was vitamans the URL would be vitaminguides.com it isnt vitamins by the way.
Which are people more likely to type. Tutorials or Guides? Guess you could look it up in the overture tool... if you trust it.
.com is king! I would look up the word tutorials in a Thesaurus to see if you can find another word where the .com version might be available. Of'course the single word wont be available, but it may lead to a better combination. Also check out nameboy.com - I've had a lot of luck there finding great .com domain names. You can search there and register it anywhere you want if you find something. It is an addictive tool though (-:
