The setup is not difficult. For the themes, have a look at design4magento.com/free-magento-themes/ or magthemes.com/free-themes . I do not know the specifications of GoDaddy, but if you have htaccess, php5 and a mysql database, everything should be fine. Why don't you simply try it? After all, it is freeware...

 

I would recoomend you to use Magento.

 

i use Zen cart and find it very flexible and it intergates paypal easily too

 

Any major open source platform has those features (Zen Cart, osCommerce, CRE Loaded, oscMax, Presta, Virtuemart, Magento, Open Cart, etc)

 

True, they are all good programs, but i found Zen Cart the best for my site.

 

Are any boutique related free themes available in ZENCART ?
What about addons?

If you want to use GoDaddy hosting, i'll suggest you to take LINUX share hosting..
GoDaddy have two types of share hosting: Windows and Linux.
and some cms do not work properly in windows hosting.
I use Godaddy hosting for my forum, and it work properly in linux than windows.

I have purchased Linux Shared Hosting from GODodady. and tried Magento, but not working

 

i would like go for prestashop. easy and fast loading. althought some of the payment module are not free.

 

I am using PrestaShop for one of my shop. but i am not satisfied with the performance of that cart.
