A few years ago, I bought CS-cart, but I haven't used it since and I'm now wanting to start a new project. The new project will be selling windows. The client needs to choose between several types of windows. I basically want it set up as a quote system. They choose the window style, and enter in the sizes with either drop down or they can enter in the values in the boxes. From there, they add to a cart, and a representative will get the quote and email them a price. If they want to go ahead with it, they can accept the quote and pay/order. Its getting pretty confusing with all of the software available. Does anyone know which of them will do what I need it to do? maybe one does with the addition of a module.
At a glance I didn't see anything for cs cart but there may be something floating around. I typically use magento for everything. http://www.cart2quote.com/ is looking pretty robust. Demo is here http://cart2quote.ophirah.com/sony-vaio-vgn-txn27n-b-11-1-notebook-pc.html It looks like you can opt to show prices or not, have an add to cart button or not etc. Starts getting a tad pricey but that is pretty rock solid. Given the scope of what you are doing i would probably suggest it. Its pretty much an enterprise level solution. EDIT: Just found a free one as well but it wont be quite as feature packed but you could likely get the job done with it. http://www.fmeextensions.com/request-for-quote.html hope that helps, Nigel
