    Hi,

I am creating a membership site and there will be videos for people to download, currently, I'm using Hostmonster and would like to check with you guys who had experiences of hosting a membership site. I heard some people are using amazons3, is that good? Or do you have any other suggestions? Thanks.

amazon isn't bad, i know of a few cdn providers like fdc and media temple but for shear simplicity and ease I go with all localized servers, Web, DB, and File servers nothing too fancy usually for web, decent RAM and SAS or SSD for DB and SAS for the File server. I've had great experiences setting them up in dual quad core virtual environments with multiple HDD's and could get you some insight if you are interested. Everything is setup on different controllers etc to maximize I/O etc and I've had great results so far.

    Hey, thanks guys,

setting up my own server would be a little too much tech savvy required for me, but thanks for all the great tips. I'll try some of the name you guys suggested and try to give feedback, thanks again...

I wouldn't suggest amazon coz their pricing is a rip off for small timer user.
You should give other CDN provider a test coz their price is cheaper.
