I want to know that which off-page seo techniques is more effective to generate traffic for your sites. The sequence of off-page seo techniques which generate traffic for my sites are following :

1. Social Bookmarking
2. Forum Posting
3. Social Networking
4. Press Release
5. Article Writing
6. Blog Posting

This really depends upon the context, but the fact that you're asking means you're too focused on strategy.

Instead of wondering, simply pick that which is easiest for you. Are you able to write articles or blog posts consistently? If so, you have valuable content on your own domain. If not, short posts in forums and as blog comments w/ signature backlinks are better than nothing.

Press releases require more a more professional skillset, social bookmarking is not so valuable anymore.

Do you mean which will generate direct traffic as well as boost search engine rankings?

If so - Social Networking and Social Bookmarking will get you far more direct traffic than the others if you write good titles and use the sites properly, for forum posting you have to be very active to get traffic and for blog posting you need to be writing really helpful/ interesting comments. Press releases depend on who republishes them, same with articles although you can get good traffic from ezines & articlesbase if you do your keyword research for the titles.

 

if your concern about the traffic, then its social networking..but still it depends on how you would work for it..

The sitemap is in my opinion the most crucial component. Without it getting indexed by the search engines becomes a tough task. Internal linking is definitely important as well. After adding some modifications on mines, just week after that, I noticed an increase in traffic.

 

I think forum posting is much effective and in forums thread posting is most effective.

I think all techniques does improve the genuine traffic in fact traffic through social bookmarking is for temporary basis only but the other techniques works for longer purpose because it gives impact over search engine results aspects

 

Forum postings, PR, Articles and Social media marketing(SBM And SNM) are the common methods which we use daily.

Trying something new would be a good idea. As said by one of the forum member; Writing articles and spinning them in different article directories, making the docstoc presentation and creating a video is something unique. I hope this should work.
