Which seo techniques generate more traffic for your sites ?

Hi Everyone,
I want to know that which off-page seo techniques is more effective to generate traffic for your sites. The sequence of off-page seo techniques which generate traffic for my sites are following :

1. Social Bookmarking
2. Forum Posting
3. Social Networking
4. Press Release
5. Article Writing
6. Blog Posting

Please share your preference order which are effective to generate traffic for your websites.

 

For the sites that I have put together for myself and some clients, what has worked best to drive traffic is:

1. Press releases
2. Blog posting

The other methods that you have mentioned above I have tested and tried but sadly has not worked well for me at all to drive traffic.

 

all depends on the list you submit to. you can bookmark yor site on 1000 pligg sites and not get a single click or you can submit to top 5 bookmarking sites with a good title/description and get some decent visitors. same goes for others. what i suggest is that you utilize all the methods for long term benefit

 

I'm just going to rank these for you here!

1. Forum Posting - it depends on how often you post, and how valuable the posts are. I get about 50-100 visitors a week with one sale average.
2. Press Releases - My latest press release has been syndicated and posted on 13,000 websites now. I get a decent amount of traffic from that. I think it is more important to note that I make more money off this!
3. Blog commenting - I get a decent amount of traffic from this as well, however, I don't believe it is valuable in regards to sales.
4. Social Networking - Mostly use for link wheels but I do have a decent amount of traffic and leads from hub pages and squidoo.
5. Social bookmarking - I don't get any traffic from this really. Maybe I will eventually, but I use it primarily for PR and all my web 2.0 sites.
6. Article Writing- I haven't noticed much traffic from this, but this is the least focused for me.

 

Social Networking is one of my favorites, and get conversions,..and Google does include it in the Algo now- the others are good..also guest blogging with a strong article and call to action if possible...

 

Supposedly google is going to be placing more power with social networks. I think it is something that I'll definitely have to put more time in.

 

For me social networking genrates maximum traffic

twitter
shares the maximum traffic from social networking
rest sites bring minimal amount.

 

Well I always try to do all activities simultaneously for better quality, not for quantity and it always works for me.

I would say do submission to website with good PR start article & Press Release submission this will certainly help.

Of your choices, article writing. But you will need to write 20 a day to catch up, so think about that.

 

Article Writing is the best for traffic.. If your article title and content is meaningful.

 

Based on my experience article writing, forum posting and blog commenting is much effective.

 

1. Create such great content that other websites, without any prompting from you, link to your site. Content can be articles, videos, podcasts, and/or photos.

2. Be a deal-maker by link exchanging with related websites. E-mail a site owner or webmaster and ask for a link exchange.

3. Create inbound links by writing and publishing content on sites outside your website.

These services can work wonders and really take your SEO to the next level.

 

how did you got your article on 13,000 websites? which service you used? is it free?

2. Local directories
3. Local classifieds posting
4. Article posting
5. Social media optimization

I did it all myself. It was hard work but worth it. All manual submission. I wrote the press release myself, 725 words. Made it interesting. My first draft was about 400 words so I had to see where I wasn't using my targeted keyword in the content and just kept expanding to get a proper keyword density ratio.

It will keep growing and growing as more sites get spidered for their auto blogs and syndication and it just keeps spiraling like that.

To me traffic gets to my site more in the basis of Forum posting, Blog commenting, Social Networking, Social Bookmarking, Article posting etc.
