Here are the useful tips and techniques to boost your page rank:
1. Write and submit articles to the article directories.
2. Leave comments on other people’s blogs with a backlink to your site.
3. Answer people’s questions on Yahoo! Answers - Home.
4. Post in forums and have a link to your site in your signature.
5. Write a press release and submit it to PRWeb::The Online Visibility Company
6. Advertise your website in the appropriate category websites Free Ads. Website
7. Give an unbiased testimonial on a product/service that you have used in exchange for a
backlink to your site.
8. Start a blog and submit it to the 100’s of free blog directories.
9. Manually submit your website to the major search engines.
10. Optimize each page of your website for a particular keyword or search phrase.

 

I use all the technique except directory submission. Free directory submission is not a good SEO technique.

 

I do all but not paid directory submission.

Yes, we have great placement in Yahoo, MSN, Bing, etc. We have many top Google rankings also. Google has always liked our sites. I have never really partaken in link building. Both of our web sites currently show four backlinks in the Google "link:www.site.com", but I know that Google doesn't show all actual backlinks in the "link" command.

I suppose this could mean that maybe our competition doesn't do much in the way of link building either...not totally sure. I haven't compared our backlinks to others' in quite a while. I am interested now, so I think I'll check that out.

 

End of the day it is all about how many pages link to you right?
