Which SEO option should I choose?

I am debating between several different SEO methods, which one would you choose. Currently I am PR3, coming up on page 1 of google for 2 or my 5 main keywords.

1.) Hire an SEO company for $1400 for 5 months of on page and off page SEO.

2.) Launch a Press Release via Prnewswire ($688), I have already launched releases on PRweb and PRleap. Prnewswire is considered the industry leader

3.) Continue with current SEO guy who posts 2 articles in 750 directories, 250 social bookmarks, 250 blog posts (These are all low PR sites) for $200

4.) Do my own SEO via article marketing on articlebase, goarticles, ezine articles and continue posting on industry forums (which is tough since moderators are not allowing URL), and issue low cost press releases on PRweb PRleap?

Which would you choose?

P.S. My keywords are all related to "coupons"

 

I would avoid that expensive press release distribution service unless you have something very newsworthy to say. Websites often send out junk press releases about minor things like a website redesign. A press release only helps a lot when it actually attracts the interest of the media.

Personally I would keep paying that guy to market your website, but also start helping him with seo efforts of your own. If you are page 1 for 2 of 5 keywords you are definitely on the right track. It is likely a matter of keeping up what you are doing.

Hiring the seo company would probably be good value too, but it is tough to judge without knowing how good the company is and what they plan on doing. In your case it doesn't sound like you need to spend so much.

 

I would do number 4 myself, but that's too time consuming. Anyhow, I wouldn't pay someone to do it all (number 1).

 

You're paying someone to spam your site out. When Google or any other search engine sees 2 of your articles in hundreds of directories and blogs all at about the same time, your rankings could suffer.

I would be so scared to pay a "SEO guy". Who know what he is doing. If he does something that Google does not like then all the money spent will be for nothing. I would either just do myself or get a reputable SEO company.

My choice is 4

 

You dont need to pay everything at ones, you can pay every month so they keep doing a good job. When u hire a reputable company u will pay ALOT more for "maybe" the same result.
But I agree, if u got time do it urself

 

I would like to prefer 4 one. Since via articles marketing you can get easily promote your site in Google without spending money.You can also start link building for your site.

 

If you use an SEO company then you must check they do it right and dont use dodgy practices, check that :-

1) all links they give to your site are on 3rd party websites (many have their own networks where they post your link, then they delete it once you stop paying)
2) they use a unique description and vary the anchor text each time they post your link (many take short cuts and use the same description, its too time consuming to make a new one each time), google sees these type of links as unnatural, so they are pointless
3) they dont make you put a link to them on your site
4) they don't subcontract the work to other people, many take your money then use a cheaper company elsewhere like in India, China or Thailand and do practically nothing,

I am very nervous on seo companies, they do cost alot and you cannot be guaranteed results, but if you have one recommended then I would go for that.

Without a company being strongly recommended I would do it myself,

Hire a SEO company for a full package.

 

I am OP and here is my one issue with SEO companies. Many of the SEO companies have low PR ranking on their own sites and when I check the sites they send as examples, there site traffic is always north of 5,000 per month.

This is not encouraging. I do think there is something to be said for someone who focuses all of their energy on SEO, they SHOULD know more then me, but so far my own strategies have been paying off. It has been expensive, and time consuming, but it is clearly working.

#4, #4, #4 all the way...and find someone on DP to submit your site to directory listings... article marketing is TOPS...best for the long term...have heard many guru's say that article marketing in the end, is what gets them best ranking and exposure.

 

no dont find someone on DP for directory listings, you may as well chuck your money out the window... when you put up a new link you need a unique description each time, not the same description sent to 2000 directories = unnatural link ! as well as duplicate content - link devalued or discounted

First option is the best option.

Hire two SEO professional for your SEO companion. In house SEO is best option for branding of your website.

 

I too prefer hire an SEO for you. If you out source this to a third party company you have little chance to know whether they did some Black Hat trick or not. You have to believe what ever report they send. I myself knows many tricks which will last for at-least two PR updations. But it won't last one year. So it is better to have a loyal SEO guy for you and let him take as much time he needs.
