Hi, I have a latest version of Kasper Sky Internet Security (Ver. 7) And after 10 years experience of norton, macafee, panda and ... i choose the above type. But i have a friend with more experience about firewalls and anti virus programs. He said NOD32 (as antivirus) and comodo (as firewall) are very better than any program around the world. because: (please see the following links) http://www.virusbtn.com/vb100/index http://www.virusbtn.com/vb100/archive/2008/06 http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/overview.html http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/avsmart/a-vsmart_warranty.html But i don't know: is my security program better or is my friend idea better ? Please help me and give its reason too. Your answers will be very important and useful for all advanced users. so please read the 1st and 2nd links above before any answer. Thank you for your help
Go for nod32. The others are just marketing companies (have you ever tried to write a keylogger on your own and then see if they detect it?)
me too. and i think like you too. but my friend said NOD32 is better because the following company accept it as the first about secuirty: http://www.virusbtn.com/vb100/index do you know what's virusbtn.com. i don't know. can any one help me. what about the above web site ? please come to this topic and get me your opinions because this is too important for me. Thank you very much
McAfee is better, but they all suck really. I wouldn't call any of them a "Security Program" as the term doesn't exist in any literal sense. You can't build a tool that provides security. You need to know the value of what you are trying to protect and then protect it with something that costs less than it's value over time. A simple formula, but not simple to implement!
Most are antivirus programs. The one I like is not there - Avast. By the way how do you compare Zone Alarm with Nod32 for example? One is a firewall the second is antivirus... well
Forget the poll, Kaspersky Anti-Virus is the winner. Not only is it easy to use, but it does have complex options for advanced users. Not to mention it's been coded by German people. In case you didn't know this, it does matter. There's a great handful of some of the smartest hackers that reside in Germany. This means they are well aware of the patterns of unwanted bugs that appear on a daily basis, and know exactly how to defend against them. They also update their definitions every couple of hours. It works in real-time watching your registry, logging events concerning modifications of application behavior, and is able to identify risks before they occur, served up with excellent recommendation for remediation solutions.
