Which search engine to use

How can I work out which search engine to use to advertise and promote within for a specific country?

I want to promote a site specifically in South Africa, how do I know which search engine they use. Obvioulsy google is available but performance is varying significantly.

Is there a better option?

Now this is too much i answered the same thing before few minutes and it is here again.

 

well i think adwords is a better choice. But at the same time you need to work at keywords and optimize your site properly

 

Paul, You could try placing an ad with a few of the search engines and see which one performs the best?

 

Best would be to hit and trial then evaluate the results
