I believe in a personal interaction with the creator.I object to religions that tell me how to communicate.I believe that God doesn't want to hear me pray with prayers written by someone else. And all these rules that religions have....don't do this, don't do that. If your religion helps you to get closer to God then bless you for that.As for me I'll find God my own way.
@LudwigLearns There is some truth in what you wrote but it is not the whole truth. We are an aggressive species that needs to be controlled. Why do you suppose we have armies, police, courts, jails etc.But man cannot be governed by force alone. This is why we invented religion starting with the shamans of cavemen. If a man(woman)feels that a rule is from God he will obey.Imagine how societies would be without religions?
No faith to call my own. Which doesn't bother me the least. I've never needed it before and I doubt I'll need it in the future. If in fact, because of its absence I'm able to make calls based on my own judgement alone, not on someone elses (i.e Bible). And although people may say, "But how do you know what's right and wrong?" it's a moot point because good and evil are individual perceptions. What's good for you isn't exactly good for me.
How do you explain the fact that the more religious a country is the higher rate of violent crime it has? How do you explain the fact that the catholic church is riddled with pedophiles?
i am HINDU . I don't believe any religion. But i like temple, i like to go temple for mediation and refreshment. I believe only talent, hard work, luck. If the god is true means why all mistakes happens ?
Yet you obviously don't know the first thing about any them. They are incompatible. How can you believe in two religions which both state that believing in the other results in eternal torture?
