Thanks people for your opinions. Let us hear from others. So that in end we can compare who is the best among all. Still godaddy is leading all of the other registrars. One more thing If you are using any other registrar then please mention their name here. Thanks for taking your time and voting here.
I use GoDaddy for all my dot com domains, but use a Canadian company for my dot ca domain. I started when domains were around $100 a year and you needed to buy them through your hosting company. Over the years prices have tumbled and the amount of control you have over them has increased dramatically. Changes in nameservers, etc., are done quickly and easily at GoDaddy. We also used them to buy our SSL certs, which were available at a very reasonable cost.
I use DomainsNext and Godaddy. I find it much harder to register domains at Godaddy (too spammy for my taste). Godaddy offers specials but sometime I question if the price is worth it. Shannon
yahoo! I have few domains at godaddy and I hated them for their 'too much selling' of other services.
I reg with 1and1 (they host my root servers) for $5.99 (.com, .org, .us, .info, .net and .name) but it jumps to $8.99 for .biz and .cc goes up to $29.99 for .tv
So far, I've bought 2 hosting accounts from ICDSoft, the first for 60 $ an year and the second for 30$ an year (50% off). They sell domains for 5$ but only with hosting. So it's 65$ the domain for me, with one year of hosting included The second hosting account is 50% off so hosting costs me 30 $ and domain was only 2.5$
I am an eNOM reseller. I have used DirectNIC in the past and I liked their service, but their prices are twice that of GoDaddy. eNOM is great for me, as they are reasonably priced and have all the little extra features I want. The only downside is that their control panel is bit ugly compared to other registrars. I would never use GoDaddy, too many ads.
eNom is really for resellers. If you have a reseller account it is cheaper than $30 for most TLD extensions, as low as $8.95. You can usually sign up as a reseller through another account. Though DirectI is cheaper than even eNom reseller accounts, but for stability eNom is hard to beat. The downside of reseller accounts is that you have to prepay.
