PHP first and then learn C++

or you could do it the other way around to better understand how the basics work, PHP hides a lot of the complex stuff C++ can do

PHP itself is written in C

I guess it really depends on what you want to do .
Like other users suggested, PHP it could be one of those "easy" languages, but still . there is no such thing as an easy language.

Once you learn at least one language , it will be easier to choose one that actually fits you needs.
But then again .. To learn a language, it can be quiet easy , in 1-2 months , you can learn all the basics: functions, loops, objects, etc.. The problem starts when you actually want to develop something .. Then .. It will take years to get experienced, and always there will be something new to learn .

Have fun and Good Luck ..
    I'm studying Objective C right now .. It's fun :)
