these are not programming errors, but when client hires you, he wont' hire you for x thing only, he will hire you to make him a site, errors if any, will have to be usually fixed by you,

start up in this business, you will know what i mean.

SQL and HTML aren't programing languages . Let's be clear with that.

If you want to be web focused go for JavaScript and PHP . Along the way you will pick up HTML and CSS.

If traditional software is what you're gunning for then learn C# , Objective-C and Java.

Java would be a good choice if you intended to build Android app. The language is easy to learn though, with C-family syntax.

Then go to MIT and learn because if you want to do both you will crash and burn. Ever heard of the term information overload ? It's the reason why in medium and large companies programmers are separated into different division like a military organization. The reason why there are people who do only DB all day long while other work on the front end side for their entire life.

Saying that you want to be good at both desktop and web it's like saying that you want to learn all medical specialties. You'll end up being a crappy doctor or an insane one that kills his patients.

For web programming I'd recommend you PHP, for desktop applications you can try to learn some dialects of "Basic" programming language that support Windows API.

For fresher PHP is best because it is easy to learn and understand. To make pretty websites or web applications learn HTML, CSS, PHP, Jquery and mysql.

I'd recommend you to start with PHP if you want to go for web development and C if you want to go for Desktop programming. Both the languages are pretty easy to get started with. You can checkout 'thenewboston' channel on Youtube for related video tutorials. There are many more channels, but I've found that channel pretty useful, particularly for freshers. :)
