    Hi,

With a limited bugdet to which paid PR5+ (including the category pages) directories would you submit?

    What about free ones?

    Thanks,

    Gary

This list of paid directories can help you spend your budget wisely. There is also a great free directory list.

Depends on what you're after (SE benefit or traffic). All things considered, here's my top 5...

    galaxy.com
    site-sift.com
addyourlink.org (not quite PR5, but so far is sending good traffic)
    01webdirectory.com
    botw.org

Now keep in mind there are directories I personally like better than a few of the above. This list is just in my opinion the very best ones to submit to considering both traffic and PR.

On a purely PR basis, I'd also look at ableseek. Obviously it also depends on how many listings are in the your specific category as well (being near the top is nice).

Yes, like I said, I was considering both PR and traffic both in the above. If you were considering PR mainly, AbleSeek would be very high because it has very high PR throughout the categories and not (currently) crowded at all.

Yea, it's too bad. It didn't used to be like that. However, I get more traffic from it than any other directory...many times more. It is in my top 20 referrers every week. Plus, it seems to count quite a bit for engines other than Google.

    Hi,

FYI... I added a couple of entries to http://www.categorizedweb.com/ as I liked the "Standard Listing Plus" which gives your a details page with four context relevent links to your site. The price is good and although the PR is 1 lower than I wanted, I am sure it will grow!

    Thanks, Gary

Does not matter what anyone else would submit to..

Only you can decide if your site fits the submission rules of a directory.

Only you can decide if your customers are likely to find you there.....

Or if the people that come from a directory are the customers you want.

You should be doing the research.

What works for one person, may not work for another.......

Unless its a PR job, in which case, I rest my case.
