Which PR is hard to improve to next level

    What google editors? On page SEO plays no part in PR - you can have the worst or best looking site, it doesn't matter. PR is based exclusively on people linking to your site.... but no, no one comes in and adjusts the PR of a site upwards - although you can have PR set to zero in some cases (for blackhat SEO).

    I'm not an expert, but have been operating sites since 1997 and now have over 40 in a number of different sectors.

    PR4 is easy to obtain with moderate backlink work.

    PR5 takes some work, but anyone should be able to obtain it with enough work.

    PR6 is approximately 6X as hard as a PR5.

    PR obtained from non-related sector sites does nothing to help your search engine rankings. The only real benefit a high PR gives is that it can make it easier to obtain better backlinks via link exchanges.

    If you want better rankings, concentrate of backlinks from relevant sites. As a result of those links, your PR will increase, but it's the backlinks, not the PR that increases SERPs.
