which Powersupply is good

    I would like to know which powersupply is good if the system config is

    Intel D945GCNL with 1.8ghz dual core, 80gb harddisk and dvd writer.

    Please advice the Watt.

    The Intel site will tell you best what specs you need. My guess would be 550 or better.

    Avoid CoolMax no matter how great the price. I bought 2 of them and have had to replace them way too soon.

    Viotek seems to make a nice 550 at a reasonable price. I am running a dual core P4 3.0 with zero problems for about a year now.

    but i didnt understand one thing

    Pentium 4 and dual core ?

    550 really sounds good.

    If you are into heavy-duty reliability and the highest quality go for a Corsair PSU, something like this would be perfect. Remember, don't cheap out on a power supply, have to be able to depend on it.

    Use the PSU Calculator and buy the reputable PSU only like : Corsair, Antec, Cooler Master, FSP, OCZ, Thermaltake, Silver Stone
