Which place is best for a landing page and opt-in form?

Hi, I am new to the IM industry and I am looking to make some money through advertising on the Facebook platform.

    A quick question:
If I am intending to link my ad to a landing page (using an AWeber-type form on the landing page to collect my customers' details), would it be more advisable for me to host the landing page on my own domain, or set it up on a Facebook page?

Please make your responses as detailed as possible. Thanks :)

Try unbounce. You dont need to have a host or a domain. Nice affordable services of around $10.

I would host the landing page myself, facebook is notorious for shutting down pages and other whacky stuff if they don't like what you're about.

I prefer having the landing page on my own site.
You may, however, like to have it on a Facebook page because you can keep the user on Facebook until they want to visit an external site.

You are talking about a squeeze page, not a landing page. I usually recommend to keep a spot on the main site dedicated to this.
Offering a freebie works great when trying to get your visitors details.
