I second that. Morfeoshow is very easy to use and very clean. Definitely not bloated software that I've seen and used. Give's you multiple effects for showing your images.

I use Ignite gallery. It is a Joomla 1.5 component with lots of functions.

i use Royal Gallery at my sites and its working nice at my new site with new Joomla 1.6

I found that this joomla photo gallery is one of the simpliest.
They also have a joomla version of the famous galleria and a slideshow module.

I Think use Coppermine is good choice.

 

i like phoca gallery but , seo wise, it s not very good. rsgallery 2 is very good if you want all your photos indexed and the project is back to life. Last option, look into k2, with a plugin, you can insert a photo gallery in your article !
