Clicks or Referals ?

 

Not all sites make the same.
Some sites make good money with Referals,
Some sites are not, but they use content or link Units instead.

Clicks for most sites.

 

Of course referrals pay better per conversion but I have made a lot more from clicks then I have referrals from my lower traffic websites but my high traffic websites I seem to do better with affiliates. But like always it is better to diversify and use both on your websites to make the most money.

 

Referals pays better, but it is hard to do.

ost of people will rely on clicks not a referal. but talk about which one pay better, it's depends. some click pay better than referal but for average per conversion, referal does better. Its also depend ont he purpose of your site/blog that support to use referal link or not.

 

Ref pays more but less people click on them
Ads pay less but more people click on them

At the end of the day I would say the ads!

 

For me, clicks do much better.

i have no success with referrals maybe because i did not put them up much. so far my earnings are with clicks

 

I only know about clicks,and most people here talk about clicks,very few talk about referrals,so I guess clicks are better.

I have no success for referrals so I removed them. I have ads only for now and it is not to bad I guess with average of $2.5 a day with 300 visitors and 500 page views.

 

depends on the site. referrals would usually pay m ore but coversion on referral is usually less than ad unit CTR

 

actually i have put refereal on my site before but it didn't convert good so i took it off. but if you got many visitors why not try it you should not be unlucky like me.

 

thats just a little short of my achievement. mine $0 to $2 a day with 150 visitors.

but i have put back a small firefox referral button at the top of my blog to try my luck again. i decided to choose the nicest button.

 

Good content and keywords make better money than weak affliates and websites and vice versa.

 

Why not use both lol?
I do not see why not try them out? Place google ads for 1 week then compare it with google referrals, repeat until you believe you got a difference.

I'd prefer clicks, although ref pays more for me, but very low clicks on them, so go ahead with clicks

I think combining the two is a good idea.
