Me personally I can't understand why people ask this question? Simple answer for me is Paypal as I have never come across anything else. Unless there is anything else I am missing???

Yes paypal is the dominant form of electronic money transfer, but there are issues surrounding how they take their part of the pie. Paypal makes you sign a contract that basically states that they can legally transfer and take X amount of money out of your account without legal action being pursued. So really, they have every right to take every cent from your account and its legally alright.

Now if they did this often and systematically, they would lose credibility and business, so they do it under the hood. In my own experience, I've gotten small amounts of money taken from my account at random times for no reason and Ive asked the paypal reps to explain it. Of course they gave me a BS answers about it.

Well I'm in a paypal non-supported country, but am using Paypal for the past 3 years or so. Its a premium account and is verified. The only problem for me is the withdrawal, but there are tons of ways to get around that ;)

You need to think out of the box - there is a solution to everything !

Paypal for sure. It's userbase is amazingly huge and it's rare you find someone who does not know what paypal is. When a user sees paypal, they see a payment gateway they can trust.

I prefer PayPal. However, 2checkout.com is also a good option.

If you sell on eBay and your buyer reject the credit card payment after a month, come back to the forum and open a new threat asking the same question. You will feel the same as people who PayPal scams rejecting the payments because the buyer was a fraudster and didn't pay the credit card statements.

There are lot of countries without Paypal support, United States and Western Europe is not the whole world. Tax haven countries, South America, Africa, Asia, Middle East, and Eastern Europe haven't got paypal yet because there are other powerful companies better than paypal and this can't introduce in the market.

In my opinion, PayPal is the best payment processors for buyers on eBay. Outside that...it is the worst.

There are lot of websites collecting horror stories from the people who were scammed by them. A good example is: Paypal Warning

If you want a hard ecurrency, worldwide supported, deposit with credit or debit card, api service, low fees and trust organization you should think in the following list:

    HooPay
    Moneybookers
    AlertPay

    Cheers

You can use PayPal or depending on the sales volume, location, and customer demands, you may want to use a regular merchant account that understands ecommerce.

Merchant account providers look at such things as...
    - the country you live in
    - the country the business incorporated in
    - high risk products like adult, gambling, diet, travel,
    - dropship or your own supply or digital download
    - greater than $5,000 month sales
    - owner's credit score, criminal record
    - business/personal bank accounts

Contact me for any questions...no obligation...no charge ever. I am a merchant account consultant for USA and international companies.

    Cheers,
