I was wondering which paid directories were considered authority website. IMHO I don't think it's worth paying to get accepted in a directory if it won't help out your SEO enormously.
Nobody knows.....if you can rephrase your question and say what directories IN YOUR OWN OPINION believe that they are authority directories then u can get some serious answers.
Aviva directory was penalized by google, I am not sure whether it regained its position of not. Also I don't think it should be considered as authority website.
Then feel free to enlighten us as to why it shouldn't be considered one, based on your criteria of what constitutes as an authoritative directory. Also, to add to the list wold be authoritydirectory.com
and how do you know that they are not? what's your ground to question the authority of those directories?

In my opinion if you start a list with directories that are over 10 years old and work your way down by age you will get a more realistic list.
Well, I would really like to know if I'm ready to spend $70 or more to submit to a directoy. There are lots of FREE directories out there with high PR. If the SEO benefits are no better than that of a free directory, why pay for your submission?
