Which pages should I allow to be indexed?

I was wondering is it better to only let search engines index the important bits of your site, like shop, articles, news, or should I allow them access to all my ancilliary pages, like disclaimer, terms, privacy policy, contact, etc?

Actually, I had an idea just after I posted that...

My ancilliary pages like the ones I mentioned are all listed at the top of the page, before my content and any links in that content. Should I include a rel="nofolow" in links to these pages at the top, but then link to them again underneath the content, so search engines still index them, but give them less weight?

Also, could I just give them a much lower priority in my sitemap for the same effect?

in my experience , it's better to allow the search engines to index all part of your web site.
