50 MB space and 1 GB bandwidth is more than enough. Ppl offering you unlimited this and unlimtied that are just overselling (selling something they do not have).

What you should be after is a low server load and a good server connection (100 Mbps).

Do you have a budget in mind? Do consider you get what you pay for.

I think about $5 min. You can find dirt cheap ones, but if you get downtime or loose your site it shouldn't really surprise you.

You shouldnt be spending more than $5 a month. I would get around 100mb space and 5gb+ bandwidth. Try to buy from the top, not from a low individual reseller.

You can find hosting for very cheap but dont go thinking that your site will be up all the time. I have sent you a PM.

A basic hosting package should be good enough at start-up to host your forum. Look for a host who will allow you easy upgrades when you need more resources in future.

I started off my forum at knownhost.com shared hosting starting at $5
and now I am at their vps. (Texas/Cali - Double/Premium BW)

They are really good company, and give super fast support and helped me out with many scripting, server tweaking etc... They even help me upgrade/update softwares if you dont feel like doing so. :)
