Which OS PHP/MySQL Mailing List Software?

PHPlist is my #1 target at the moment but before deciding, I wanted to ask what you guys use as your mailing list manager.

I do need advanced features like click tracking, personalisation and multiple newsletters. Even more advanced stuff like domain throttling etc. is a pre. We're talking sending to 20K people at a time so it needs ot be stable and reliable.

I can't find many 'competing' packages. Can you suggest any?

I've used qmailer in the past. It can handle 5 figure campaigns, personalisation and click-tracking, but I have to admit that, compared to the full feature list, PHPlist looks pretty awesome. Have you tested it at all TOPS?

PHPlist was in my fantastico list on one of my hosting deals so I had a quick play without actually ever sending anything.

NewsForge found it pretty cool as well thoguh not the easiest to configure.

Ah, OK, PHPlist's on fantastico huh? Will add that to the ever-lengthening to-do list

If you wanna test it out I'd be happy to add my email address to a test list for you. Just drop me a pm if you need it, OK dude?

No it doesn't have to be free and $239 can easily be coughed up. It's just that normally when it isn't free, you can't hack it either. At some point I'll want to intergrate it or make it interoperable with osCommerce hence te OS requirement which often implies being free as well. I'll check it out though, thanks for the suggestions.

Do you have personal experience with sendstudio? Any feedback you can give on it?

    I also endorse phplist

I only wish I had a list that warranted all of its features like targetting etc

No I haven't used it myself I use a much simpler and cheaper one without bounce or tacking features. What do you mean you won't be able to hack into it? I don't think the files are encoded in anyway.

Yes, I just read the source code is editable so customizations can be done indeed.

SendStudio seems a bit cleaner and easier to install but in terms of functionality they seem comparable.

I'll try and dig out some 1 on 1 reviews between the two. Thanks elkiwi!

UndiesHosting, are you not compiling your own lists then whilst making use of the attributes?
