    Water first.
Compared with food, water will give me more hope to live much longer in the desolated desert. As those premier said, the camel may get loss too. I could not read map, so a navigation map for me is useless.

Yeah... You can also eat the camel itself if you go hungry in the desert.

Funny, and unique answer. But have you ever thought of the original intention of the interviewer?

What about the 5th option "Leave the interview" and be happy without any tensions of living in a desert for 10 days :D

I think so every options got some value:

    1) Food -> You can't live without food for 10 days so if u choose it, you can get some more energy and find other things

    2) Water -> Same as food

    3) Camel -> It can help you get food and water and also help you out in finding a map so that you can get rid of all this problem

    4) Map -> Choose the map and find your home and you don't have to stay in desert for 10 days :D

    Regards

I was thinking ride the camel as far as you could then once it tires then kill it and eat it. Probably not the best answer for an interview.

As a responsible employee I would not be lost in a desert. Might work...

It seems that most of us would prefer camel, and next come to water. Whichever we choose, we have our reasons. However, have you ever asked yourself this question that why the interviewer raise such a question that seems to have nothing to do with a job?
I referred this question to a friend who has been working in hr department over ten years. And his reply was from the answer, the interviewer, from one side, can test the logical ability of the interviewee according to his/her expression; from the other side, the question is an open one as also a closed one. Open: answers differ as long as the reasons you give sounds reasonable and objective. CLosed: for some certain job, the solution to an emergent problem is uinique, and your decision decide the final result.
I could not fully understand his answer but I do know his explination make some sense. How do you think of it?
