just pick one and roll with it, they are all oversellers, so as long as you stay within the invisible bounds, you should be fine

Go with hostgator or bluehost over dreamhost and godaddy IMO.

Dreamhost and GoDaddy have different user interfaces + GoDaddy have other 'issues' (lots of complaints). Dreamhost is problem getting scripts to work properly and database functions hard to set up (been there done that).
If you prefer cpanel then hostgator or bluehost, my choice would be hostgator.

They have different features and control panels, from my point I would choose dreamhost. Although all of them seems oversold their server.

Hostgator seams to be a popular choice. Google for a coupon code and try for 30 days for a penny. I did :)

    Works for me.

Go for hostgator if your picking from only the above companies. They are all oversellers.

Try to ask if they have any kind of trial or test periods. Do your own comparison. You need to have good web hosting to you not which is considered good by your friends etc

Yes, HostGator should definitely be your first choice. They are a well established company and have been in business since 2002. They are also very reliable as far as website availability is concerned. Best of luck.
