The second one looks better in my opinion. It looks more professional and it is more usable in any environemnt (web, print, different backgrounds etc).
I would say that it's impossible for us to judge that without knowing a little more about your business. Asthetically, I'd go with popular opinion and go with the second one, but the two logos stand for quite different things. The first one is much louder, and seems to represent the housing market more, however it's not clear what sort of construction the second logo is trying to put across.
I will definitely vote for a logo which is on the right hand side its looking professional and clean logo for any website
Hecky is right, the logo on the left suggests a building firm, however the logo on the right leans towards a landscape development firm of some sorts, or even an environmental development firm, two mountain peaks and the sun. When designing a logo its important to add a feature which will enable the onlooker to imediately identify your logo with the type of business you run, although there are countess logos out there who do no such thing. Here's an example of a logo which proves you only need the design skills of a 2 year old to make a lot of money. you know what I think if this logo?
The one on the right is better it has a shape that people can notice and remember. The fist one just look generic and mild like people will not even notice.
This topic is a couple days old, but I'll throw my $0.02 in anyway. I actually prefer the purple one if you change the big white "roof" triangle to something a little bit more creative and sophisticated. I think it'll be easier to place into different situations instead of the white one.
