My main email account right now is Yahoo, but I have several gmail accounts because they forward emails. So if you have different Gmail account, you can forward to one. Yahoo doesn't have this.

I prefer Gmail because of its easy-to-use interface. Also it offers the Last Login feature which yahoo doesn't offer. Gmail is intergrated with a single Google Account and acts as a Google Service, so that we can use a single account for multiple purposes.

For me, Gmail Rocks ! :p

gmail all the way! Just like Yahoo, Yahoo mail is slammed with nothing but ads... ads all over the page, ads all in your inbox.

I personally think that Yahoo is better because you are allowed to put links in your autoresponder and signature.

i have yahoo for personal and gmail for business.

gmail has way better search. yahoo search sucks and does not work properly and even times out.
yahoo spam filter sucks it puts genuine emails in spam. gmail spam filter is very accurate.

gmail filters are very fast. basically the same as folders.

I started yahoo and there has been little to no junk mail. So I'm quite happy with it. However, if I was just starting out, gmail would be probably the better service at the moment.

I have both. Gmail has large storage space (can actually use as backup of important documents by emailing to myself). But I can't find a way to download those that land up in Gmail junk folder to my MS Outlook.
