Which one is more important???

Hi friends,

Please tell me which one important to help earn more??? Impression or click?
I want to implement adsense to my dating site.

Looking for expert view.

Click for definite. Most AdSense publishers I know only manage to earn a few cents CPM, whereas you can earn that with only one click even for a dating site.

 

Could u pls tell me about the CTR of dating site? and how much from a click??

clicks ithout a doubt. Impressions only seems to give a cent here and there. Only clicks will make a real difference.

 

You mean to say that 1000 impression equal to 1 or 2/ 3 click.??

 

I'd only be guessing but I suppose, because of the nature of the site, the CTR could be quite good if the ads are well targeted - maybe as high as 10%. I don't think advertisers will be willing to pay much per click because there is a very high demand for dating type sites - probably only a couple of cents per click.

That's just my suggestion - I could be mistaken.

 

Well If you ask me I will definately go for both i.e click and impression

But importance of Clicks are slightly higher then Impressions.

The more impressions you have the more will be the eCPM. and the low impressions can't result into lower eCPM.

For example :

If you get two thousand impressions on your site for 50 clicks and u eanrs $10
But if you getOne thousand impressions and same 50 clicks then you will get something around 5 or 6 Bucks.

So it is clear from the above example that you can never deny the importance of clicks and impressions. However Clicks are of much importance then page impressions!

Well you can't really tell that. Only the owner of the site can know that it depends upon the number of your web pages loaded with google ads. For example. If you have just a single page site. and your visitor visit it five times a day then it means you have 200 unqiue visitors.

dude it means the page impression will be count as 5!
while the unique visitor will be one!

 

This isn't right. The amount of impressions (considering CPC ads) is not linked to the amount of $ you earn, only the amount of clicks is (and their click-value).
So if 50 clicks will earn you 10$ for 2000 impressions, 50 clicks will also earn you 10$ for 1000 impressions. Only your eCPM will be twice as high when you earn 10$ for 1000 impressions, than for 2000 impressions (since you'll earn twice as much)...

Not at all...in fact the opposite is sometimes true.

eCPM is used to normalize data...in your above example, your eCPM would be about the same in both cases.

 

of course CLICK. eCPM is for your referrence, no use.
