Hi all, I'm studying back links recently, and have a question: say you got sitewide links from two sites, site A with a high homepage PR of 6 and a few Google indexed pages like 300, site B with a relatively low homepage PR of 4 but a lot of indexed pages like 1000. Then which one is helping you more in your ranking? Note that the link is sitewide, which means you actually got 300 links form site A but 1000 from site B. Thanks in advance!
I think that the answer is "site A". You need to pay attention to the quality backlinks, not the quantity of backlinks.
Yes I'm agree with you guys just focus on the site A, your site A have a high page rank you need to improve your traffics and backlinks by doing off page optimizations, build more quality links.
Focus on site A because 1- Its has high PR i.e 6 2- Always go with quality rather than quantity. Google prefer a site with quality backlinks
No doubt the answer is A. It has high PR, only quality backlinks will improve ranking for your site. So submit to sites having high PR.
Hi guys, thanks for all the answers~ Actually I just tested two sites with two of my keywords (original ranking at 88 and 84, similar searching amount and competition according to Google Keyword Tool), and the two sites are like site A PR 4 with 300+ pages, site B PR 2 with 9000+ pages. Two days later, the keywords are 38 and 7. Seems pages are more helping here, or maybe the difference between 4 and 2 is just too small? Any idea?
