    Uhmm.... What does posting in the right category make it hot? GC is the section where off-topic threads are made and Underground is for all other things that only DP members should see and read.

    General chat is open to all- even guests, so a thread there will have more views and replies.
    UG is restricted.

    The Underground isn't hot :p but you have your privacy.

    Yes that’s true, UG is restricted for Guests. I poll GC because I have seen so much off topics there.

    I got it now. General Chat's threads are viewable by guests. And if you want to protect your privacy and dont want SE Bots to crawl your thread then post in The Underground ;) (i got it now).
