They are both good. Having said that, the pros tend to use Wordpress because of the amazing amount of plugins available to do typical SEO tasks, like creating one way backlinks automatically, cloaking links, optimising onpage and so on. A good set of free wordpress plugins are available at bloggerhigh.com of course.
I suggest you to use wordpress because It is User Friendly, Plugins Extend Functionality, and SEO Friendly.
madison, you don't tell as for wich purposes do you ask this? The right answer is depend on your real aim to use your website.
Drupal isn't bad...but the enourmous amount of flexability, plugins, and other things available make Wordpress the best choice.
Drupal is a powerful CMS and can handle some pretty heavy duty sites, but the learning curve is higher. WordPress is going to be more user friendly and as mentioned here there are a ton of plug-ins available. If you are looking at all of your options I know their are other CMS tools out there, but the one I have used in the past is Joomla. I like it and can navigate around pretty good with it, so I usually fall back to that when I am trying to do something I know I am going to be working on for a while.
