I want to take new domain and with that domain .com, .org. net and .info is available. I want to know that is there any difference among these .com, .org. net and .info, because .info is cheap.

I'd buy them all if you can. Set them all to forward to the .com name and forget about it.

Is saving $5 something you should even consider for a site?

Everything else being equal, take the .com - but there is no difference in how the SE will treat them. .info is probably has the least value but will work just fine if you are only giving information and aren't planning on selling anything.

    .com << commercial site
    .net << business/pro site
    .org << organisation
.info << better for info/news and stuff

btw your site will matter a lot(content, quality,pr,seo) , than the domain

When .com is no more available, others will see the value raising up.

If your market is domestic only and you have a good country tld then consider that. Otherwise, .com its a nobrainer. In the UK e.g. if you have a site that is just for the UK market, you should definitely get the .co.uk , you will do better on Google with it than .com other things being equal.

Go for the .com if it's available. .com is the best for commercial purposes and easy to brand and market.

thudufushi is right. Google with give ranking preference to a country TLD, so if that is your only market, it would be better for rankings. If people are going to come back to your site, they are likely to try the .com. In this situation, I would get both and do a 301 for one of the domains so you have the best of both worlds.

The .info TLD is pretty new and most DNS Registrars are offering it at a discount for the first year but prices would go back to the same prices as the .com and other more established TLDs from the second year onwards.

I guess they are trying to encourage more people to use them.
