hi, I would like to know which one is better: ???tuts.com or ???tutorials.com (the ??? is for a 3 letters word) thanks
I am pretty much with the rest. the full word is better, it makes it easier to remember and explain the site better
Tutorials.com rocks over tuts. Tuts does not really mean anything if you plan to market the domain name.
It's advisable to seperate your keywords with hypens (-) in your domain name. For example: ???-tutorials.com. You'd be better off using more than three letters for ??? too. Cryo.
Hi I disagree with you there, I think that XXXTutorials is far better than XXX-Tutorials in that the hypen is not as easy to remember so you will lose traffic to XXXTutorials. Also from a resale stand point (-) is not as good.
???tutorials.com makes more sense than ???tuts.com. Also the non hyphenated name is always better than the hyphenated one from the branding, type-in traffic as well as reselling point of view.
How many users actually memorise domain names and type them in via the address bar? I figure that most users will find the site via searches, links and bookmarks. Therefore (in my humble opinion) it's more important to have clearly defined keywords in your domain. The classic example is 'expertsexchange', which has ambiguous keywords. Cryo.
