Which one is better???

    hello everybody
    Which one is better? Alexa or compete
    On every week alexa will be updating rank for website but compete doesnt any change about rank it remains same....so which one is best to see website status and which one is right???

    I don't know how compete calculates those rankings, but I know for sure that Alexa only ranks based on his toolbar that it's not present on everyone's computer. Thus, Alexa rankings are not accurate either. Alexa can be pretty accurate only if your website is in a "tech" niche, that would attract visitors with a higher chance of having the alexa toolbar installed.

    If the website you own is big and popular enough to attract all sorts of visitors in an equal way, then Alexa is the most accurate of the two.

    err, I suspect they are both a bit pointless in the grand scheme of things. Alexa metrics are only good for selling ad space to folks who don't know what Mike the above poster knows ;)

    Both are inaccurate and mean nothing. However, as stated above, Alexa is only good for promoting links and ad sales. Use your stats that you track yourself for honest numbers.
