    The two are very different

PPC will start driving traffic to your site instantly but SEO is a long term process and will take you many months to achieve high rankings, especially for a new website.

Both can cost an arm and a leg,so you have to be careful how you approach it.

I prefer SEO any day, PPC is a very dangerous game if you don't know what you are doing
Not entirely true, much will depend on the competitiveness of the keywords being targeted

I Just built a brand new site around a mid-high competitive 3 word phrase and got my site to #3 on Google in about 2 weeks time

It really depends on a lot of different variables, and so it's hard to give a simple answer without knowing your specific goals, situation, etc...

But... if it was me, and I had the choice and a bit of money to throw into promotion, I would most likely choose to outsource SEO, like hire a couple of link builders to promote your site for you for a few months...

If you see returns on your promotional efforts, this is the best solution, as you are going to have long term traffic, and once you have paid for the promotion, it generally lasts for quite a long time, as opposed to spending on the PPC basis...

if u have some new products noted to the public you can go for PPC as it is like advertising while SEO is the long process. remember SEO is organic and PPC is inorganic. they are of different tracks and u should confuse with both

Why not do both? Usually SEO produce result after 6 months and if done right the ratio is 70% SEO conversion and 30% PPC (though it depends on the budget and the model you're using).

SEO has the leverage since it has lower cost, while ppc can provide traffic and good conversion even an hour after PPC launch.

If you have some money to spend then SEO is better as it brings targeted traffic and also immediately to your website.

PPC is good if you really need to improve you income. But in terms of long term effect on your site, SEO is advisable to use.

The effect of PPC is there only while you spend money on it, you get the traffic. Unless people have bookmarked your site and return to it later. The effect of SEO will be felt for long time even after the seo has been completed. So it is better to go for both ppc and seo. PPC for short term effects and SEO for long term effects.

Even if you rank #1 on Google for your keyword in organic search, you can still use PPC to get more traffic.

PPC will deliver instant targeted traffic.

SEO needs time to deliver targeted traffic.

    You can invest in both.

SEO will take time to see the results.
    PPC will deliver immediate results.

Do them both, but when you are in a hurry you could go for PPC.

I would say start with PPC. This will allow you to test your offer/website with consistent traffic. From here you can determine your value per customer and determine what you can really afford to pay per click or per lead.

You will probably loose money in the beginning, so expect that. Just think of it as an investment.
