Which One is better? Image Ads or Text Ads

Image Ads or Text Ads?

 

It depends on your website sometimes, for e.g. I have a free classified website before i hav placed text ads and I was getting very few links, but once I changed it to only Image ads my earnings have increased. You check my site for an idea.

For me image ads are working fine.

 

Obviously its text ads which gives you more most of the time for a click.
But general people get attracted towards an image ad more than a text ad. So you might get more clicks on image than text ads.

 

But image ads are also effective when placed in proper way, cause I have experienced it. My ctr has been sometimes 23$ for image ads.

 

depend on your site content, if you are running a wallpaper site then its good to have image ads.

I'm using text link because I'm providing information with contents.

 

i always thought that image ads don't pay any money on click just on impression, how is it with this now? I am using mostly text ads.

text ads give me more money upto 10time more than image ad .

 

I earn much more from text ads in general, although I have found that image ads do work well in certain niches.

 

Let adsense decides for you. Don't choose an ad format yourself, let adsense choose depending on your page.

 

I originally just used text ads on my sites but adsense team contacted me and advised me to use both text and image ads, so I gave it a try and now I am seeing about $3-5 per click before I was making about $0.80-$1.50 per click.

It all depends on your demographics really ... if you're looking to target people who are into entertainment, then images would be better.

If you're looking to target specific niches that people are actually intelligent and read, then I would do text ads.

Images work well with dating ads

These days the image ads are giving more revenue than that of text ads.
However, as said above it depends upon the niche.

Depends on the content of your site. I use both, text and image ads and i get good results (high ctr $ ecpm)
