If the site is very small, as well as we need to target 2 or 3 keywords mean, we will get the back-links for home page. But the site is very big one, having more keyword related pages. Then how i will do for link-building? Anybody please advise to me. thanks,
If the site is big and having Good PR than you can have the links from inner pages also. It helps in getting backlink.
Both are required. Give preference to homepage for getting quality backlinks to your home page. After that You can get backlinks for inner pages also which are equally important. You can get backlinks for home and inner pages from articles sites, bookmarking and blogs.

Michaelvk, to give you a better idea, Google is a pretty damn smart search engine. So, consider if your job were to rank websites in your own search engine, and in order to keep people coming back time and time again, you had to constantly make sure that your results were relevant. What is one thing that you would look for? Consistency? Diversity? etc If you link to only one page on your site, you are only really going to rank that one page, even if at all due to the fact that Google is "smart" like I mentioned. However, the best method here really is to link to both the main page plus deep pages as well. Not only that, dont always just use the keyword that you are trying to rank for in your anchor text, use a variety of your keyword, plus the URL, plus the odd occasional "click here" kind of link. That way, your backlink structure will look all the more natural to Google when they rank your site. Hope that helps!
The most important is to have a natural view of bl. To main page an sub pages, follow and nofollow links. It has to look natural to SE.
I will say focus on the home page and let the and let the other pages get natural links...its all about using your time wisely..
Do you want fast cash or you just want to dominate your market with your keywords? Do you want to rank for the main page itself or to rank for subpages that target long-tail keywords? It really depends on what you want to achieve. I tested not building any backlinks (on other sites) on one of my site's home page and believe me Google will rank it as well. You can focus building backlinks to your subpages (with a link to your homepage) if you want faster cash. It will boost your homepage along the way. Good luck!
Ricz is right here. I also tested one of my site with no link building whatsoever but again after a few months of posting quality content to blog and build relationship with my readers, the links is there by itself and the rank of particular pages is up along with the home page.
if you have a large website with multiple pages I recommend you build links for every page especially if you plan to make that site an authority
